The vampires aren’t a particularly inspiring creation — all pale and hairless and red-eyed — but director Francis Lawrence gets some great effects out of New York itself. I Am Legend is a featured new dvd releases and the movie is actually about the last man on earth played by one of the last real movie stars on earth.
