While the US is still struggling to equip rural areas with broadband connection, Europe is on to its final few percent of the battle. A report made recently by the European Commission said that almost 77% of EU businesses were already subscribed to high speed ISP’s since last year and the list is still growing. Other data from the report includes the schools were 96% of the total European schools are now connected. In all, only 40% of European citizens are not yet “internet ready” and it includes a small portion of the citizens in Denmark and the Netherlands while Romania shares the biggest percent. Now that EU is trying to close the gap with their internet connection, the US and the rest of the world is busy to make it all happen. Indeed, we all are beginning to be internet dependent.
