If you have a ceiling fan at home with a cracked, broken or warped blade, you know that it can be difficult to get the proper replacement blades for certain types of ceiling fans. If you own one of those models, here’s a good workaround: Take your ceiling fan down and detach the blade you need to replace. Now, detach one of the GOOD blades, and lay it on a big - very big - sheet of paper or newsprint. With a pencil, trace around it, and indicate with dots where the mounting holes are located. With this tracing, any skilled woodworker can make you a brand-new fan blade! Nifty idea!
